Small Batch Ceramics, Handmade in the High Desert

Lōm Ceramics is the work of Dave Tarullo and Risha Druckman.

We founded Lōm in 2021 with the aim of creating modern functional ware that is at once innovative in its design while remaining deeply rooted in centuries-old handcraft traditions.

Lōm’s collections feature modern silhouettes, traditional surfaces, and an artful simplicity, reflecting a design philosophy that employs function as a guide to form.

Making one-of-a-kind objects for everyday use expresses our belief in the fundamental value of art in everyday life, and speaks to our love and respect for handcraft as an essential and humanizing practice.

We make all our wares by hand using a combination of three methods: slip casting, hand building, and throwing on the wheel. Our firing methods range from modern gas and electric kilns to traditional pit and wood firing. These various and specialized forms of firing allow us to achieve a wide range of surfaces on our pots and make each collection distinct and every vessel unique.
