Caring For Your Ceramics
-
Lōm Ceramics are all foodsafe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
For stubborn marks and scratches we recommend using a scouring paste made of baking soda and lemon, or purchasing one comercially.
Scour the pot for a minute or two with the baking soda and lemon mixture using the abrasive side of an ordinary sponge, and follow with a clean water rinse. If the marks are still evident, repeat. After scouring and rinsing, we recommend a final wash using dish soap to remove any traces of scouring residue.

Our porcelain luminaries are designed to glow with the aid of simple tea lights. We recommend giving the tea lights time to hit their stride. They burn their best and brightest when the wax is completely melted.
The tea lights provided will burn for approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. Make sure that any replacement tea lights you purchase have aluminum containers to house the wax. This will facilitate ease of clean-up.
Cleaning: Hot water will remove any residual wax clinging to the interior of the pot. Carefully pour a small amount of hot water into the luminary and let it stand briefly. Then pour this wax/hot water solution into a bowl of cold water before disposing of it. Wipe the interior of the luminary clean with a paper towel, and take care not to burn yourself, the porcelain is thin so it will be very hot.
Any ash discoloration can easily be removed with soap and water.
A baking soda and lemon scouring solution works well for stubborn marks—see our recommendations above for scouring tableware.
Our luminaries are all food and dishwasher-safe should you choose to use these vessels for other purposes.
As with all candles, do not leave these unattended, or sleep with them burning.

To clean the exterior of your pipe we recommend making a scouring paste of baking soda and lemon. Apply this paste to your pipe and scrub for a minute or two using the abrasive side of an ordinary sponge. Rinse clean. If marks are still evident, repeat. Finish by cleaning the exterior with ordinary dish soap to remove any residual scouring residue, and let the pipe dry completely before smoking from it.
